29th October 2011

The dice were agin' us. First rolls for terrain resulted in a barran landscape which meant the ensuing battle laxcked subtlty in the extreme. The Titan Bronseback was obliterated and Skorne bonds were lost on everything except the Brute and the Basalisk. Khador were lenient with Skorne's poor play, but it was a landslide victory; 27 1/2 to Tim against Al's mere 11.

Sunday 28th August

Praetorians run as fast as possible towards Assault Commandos and Widow-makers before they're shot to shynola.
 Then the heavies...
Khador troups are watched over by the Eye of Sauron, surely that's a different story entirely?
Still playing triple six; train comes a rolling...not this time, but one day....
By now the Assault Commandos and grenade launching attachment have been dispensed by the Praetoreans, themselves down from 10 to 5. However a win to Al's Skorne with a 'Caster assassination at the hands of the Cyclops.

Friday 15th July

Light fuse and stand well back...

They think it’s all over, it is now! Khador, already 10 points to 1 down were finished off in the third round with the demise of Strakhov at the hands of the Titan in what was hardly the most subtle of ‘caster assassinations. Prior to this unspeakable act, Skorne used the advantage of speed with its Praetorians distracting the Man O War troopers whilst the Drake, the Titan and the Brute caused carnage on the battlefield taking out the Widowmaker Marksman, 50% of the Widowmakers (did they need to take command checks?) and the Beserker, which exploded but failed to damage significantly. The Widowmakers took out 3 of the 4 Beasthandlers but it was too little, too late.

Saturday 23rd April

A tense, hard fought battle, but no photos this time. Pretoreans were a thorn in Khador's side, but despite their valiant efforts, and surviving an encounter with the Beserker, they were the one Skorne causality with the whole unit being wiped out. Xerxis' feat caused massive casualties; the Beserker and 2 X MoW. Most of the Widowmakers and Fido (aaah!) were toasted by the Drake (imagine what the Duck could do?). Think I need more of those on the table...

The Titan forged a bond with Xerxis (Broken Will), the Savage, Brute and Drake will be rolling after two battles next time.

Khador's Destoyer will be rolling next week after one.

Final Score, Al wins with 11 victory points against Tim's 6.

Friday 18th March

A closely fought battle; Skorne took advantage of a swift attack and Xerxis feat keeping Khador on its toes. Both armies lost over 50% of one of it's infantry units, but the masacre of Khador's Manhunter Solo gave Skorne the lead at the final whistle by 2 points to nil (or 3 points to 1 if we're still playing 1 point for half a unit...)

This battle was fought at the foot of the Kovosk Hills, the rail-track gave the added danger of being hit by a Khadorian train if troops finished their movement on the track and a triple 6 was thrown at the beginning of the faction's next go. Didn't happen this time...

The Basilisk's giving the Paingiver Beast Handler some jip as it frenzied, bit like playing Orcs in another well known table-top game.

The Kodiak gets mashed by the Titan and the Cyclops, in desperation it vents steam...but to no avail!

Skorne V Khador at new venue 'Baked' in South Woodford. Skorne frustrated the Khador with their speed and insight, but once The Butcher got into melee it was a swift end to Xerxis.

Thanks to Tim for exceptional coffee and hospitality!
